Radiation oncologist C. Michele Burnison, MD, is an expert in the treatment of lymphoma and leukemia and cancers of the prostate, breast and gastrointestinal tract. She is especially well known for her expertise in radiation therapy for breast cancer and experience with intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and radiation implants (“seeds”) for prostate cancer.
Dr. Burnison held a clinical faculty position at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) for 14 years before joining Cedars-Sinai in 1999. She received her medical degree from UCLA, where she completed a residency in radiation oncology. She completed an internship in internal medicine at UCLA/Sepulveda VA Medical Center.
