Moise Danielpour, MD

Dr. Moise Danielpour, MD, specializes in treating pediatric brain tumors, as well as a multitude of other nervous system disorders, including congenital malformations, epilepsy, craniofacial disorders and hydrocephalus. Dr. Danielpour is one of the few pediatric neurosurgeons in the world who has experience with in utero surgical treatment for birth defects, such as myelomeningocele. He is also an expert in the use of minimally invasive surgical technology in the care of children with central nervous system disease.

On the national level, he is known as a neurosurgeon with a passion for the care of children. He looks for ways to improve care for children around the world, and as such has worked with children's charities on an international level. He last traveled to Guatemala with the "Healing the Children" foundation were he operated on twenty children with complex neurosurgical problems.

  • Co-wrote the NIH-funded multi-center RO1 grant for a clinical trial of in utero surgical closure of myelomengocele defect
  • Developed a noninvasive intracranial pressure monitor while at Cedars-Sinai
  • Helped create a multidisciplinary ceter for head and neck surgery and craniofacial reconstruction at Cedars-Sinai
  • Served as Clinical Instructor of Pediatric Neurosurgery at the joint Stanford-University of California, San Francisco Medical Centers
